A Life Changing Event

Hi, you seem to be new here, I suggest by checking our guide to new readers New to Looking to Business or Join Our Free Email Course. Thanks for visiting!

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog.

In the 12 months ago my life has really changed.
In the last year I have gone from a decent salesman to getting 2 promotions and I am now in charge of starting my companies new offices in Norway.

I attribute this change to one thing.
I learned to set goals and follow them up.
All my life I have wanted to become financially Independent. I am a naturally lazy person and can think of nothing better than just having fun 24 hours a day.

So I calculated that I needed about 2 million dollars, that’s it!
That way I can live of the interest.

this was a goal I set up early for myself, but it was pretty fuzzy. I had no plan and no goals on the way.

In late 2009 my employer decided to help us set up goals.
I knew exactly what to right, 2 million dollars!
We had to print them and put them up on our bathroom mirror and imprint them every day.

My goal slowly started to become clearer and my focus on completing it became better.

In October 2009, Brian Tracy came to visit Stockholm and hold a seminar.

We attended and he talked about his theories about setting goals and self motivation.

This event changed my life!

I have adopted his techniques. I know have a firm grasp of my goal and how I am going to complete it.
Within 3 years and 4 months I plan to have accomplished my goals.
On my bathroom mirror I have set up my goals, all with an expiration date and in an active form; “I am financially independent and have 2 million dollars on my bank account by Juli 2013.”

I also run through a mantra every morning “I like myself, I love my work, I’m going to be happy today.”

All this sounds awfully stupid I know.
I used to laugh at people who did these things, but truth is. They really work. In the last 12 months I have doubled my income and I don’t see it slowing down.

I thank Brian for really making an impact on my life and I hope I will be able to help others as well. I have been reading a lot of his books and last week finished one that I want to recommend to you.

  2. Love this post Daniel. I think it’s awesome that you’ve made these improvements in your life and I’d argue that just by maintaining this blog it has forced you to mentally consider your work, trade, and skills on an almost hour-to-hour basis. Such stimulation will naturally lead to more production, which you’ve obviously achieved considering the two promotions. I love your transparency here and look forward to more of your personal experiences and happenings down the road.

I am impressed, Daniel, we share the same guru – probably nothing new when it comes to sales superstars like us :) I really admire your initiative of starting this blog, I will follow it from now on!

  4. Hello guys.

Gloria, I am very glad you visited! I hope you find it useful and keep sharing your experiences here.
And yes, as superstars ;) we have to keep the right gurus.

I hope you both keep coming back and I love to hear what you think.
